About Us

Why The Association of Program Directors in Endodontics?

A need exists for a collective voice among endodontics residency program directors to examine, discuss, and establish policies for academic postgraduate endodontics training programs.

Disclaimer

As an organization of independent endodontics program directors, the Association of Residency Program Directors in Endodontics is neither affiliated with, nor is it sponsored by any organization, institution, or other outside entity.

Our Goals

Collaboration

Develop a diverse, inclusive, and collaborative community of current endodontics residency program directors through virtual and in-person mechanisms.

Provide a forum for timely discussions on important issues that are of concern to all postgraduate endodontics stakeholders, and in so doing deflate existing epistemic bubbles.

Professional Development

Promote leadership development among our community of educators through mentorship, professional meeting interactions, and networking. To include career development discussions at each academic rank regarding such topics as promotion, tenure, benefits, compensation, etc.

Innovation

Support the creation and implementation of innovative educational models across the continuum of postgraduate endodontics faculty and residents. Improve on existing teaching strategies and provide collaborative resources for the development of new and emerging methods.

Scholarship

Advance scholarship and a critical appraisal of educational methods and curricula by providing an effective discussion and support forum for endodontics program directors.  Provide a platform for promoting the dissemination of scholarly pursuits.
